A Brisbane Homeowner is facing $100,000’s of termite damage repairs!
Everyday we see thousands & 10’s of thousands of dollars in repair costs for damages caused by termites.
Recently, we performed a termite inspection for a new customer of ours, who was concerned with some sagging in their ceiling panels in their triplex.
How We Did Our Termite Inspection
Upon inspection, we found that termites ahd completely DESTROYED the structural integrity of the property. As you can see below.
This was not only in the roof, majoirty of the walls had extensive termite damage.
We were quite suprised the hoem was holding up the way it was.
After the full termite inspection was perfomed, we divised a treatment plan which was a chemical termiticide application or “Termite Barrier””
The chemical we chose and always do was Termidor and Termidor HE, the reason being that they get the peace of mind with our 8-year! warranty.

These are the most typical signs of termites and damage in and around properties. And in this case we found Mud Tunnels, Hollow Timber and Bubbling Paint.
How We Treated the Property
Firstly, we measured the property and alcualted the necessary amount of chemical needed to treat the triplex.
Next came trenching all the dirt areas creating as trench to penetrate deep into the soil and below the slab edge. After this was done, we came behind with the sprayer to apply teh chemical treatment to the trenched areas.
Once the trench was filled with chemical, we put all the dirt back over to return the property to a good state.
Once completing that part, we drilled out the concrete every 450mm. Thanks to Termidor HE then filled each hole withe the injection adapter tool on the sprayer pumping the necessary amount of chemical.
Then coming behind that with matching colour plugs to the concrete.
After the treating was done, we restored the site to better than we got there cleaning it up very well.

A big reason as to why termites enter properties, and in this case so easily is that there are building faults which create high likelyhood of termite infestations.
The Triplex, which we inspected and treated occured because of neglegence from the hoemowner as they hadn’t had it inspected in over 2 years.
It may not seem like much time for the termites to do as much damage as they did, but they work super fast and especially with a big infestation like this they will increase their population at a fast rate.
